National Parks Yarn Club Welcome to the brand new 2021 yarn club from Evergreen Fiber Works! This year we are focusing our attention on the astonishing National Parks system in the United States.

Pamela and Valerie are both avid travelers and combined we have visited several of our National Parks including: Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mount Rainier, Olympic, and Badlands National Parks. Our list of ‘parks to visit’ is extremely long, but Valerie’s short list includes Glacier National Park, and Pamela’s includes Glacier, Acadia, and Great Smoky Mountains NP. I think really we both want to visit them all though!

Join us as we virtually explore the beauty of some of these parks via our 2021 National Parks Yarn Club.

How it works:

Colorways are EXCLUSIVE to the club until the end of 2021.

Each month we will select an inspiring park photograph and use it as a reference when dyeing that month’s club. It may even be a photo from one of our own trips! Photos will always be used with permission and properly credited at the bottom of this listing description. We will post that photo here in the listing, as well as on our social media pages. We will aim to choose seasonally appropriate colorways. If you are curious what to expect take a look around our shop to get a feel for our style.

When you sign up you are signing up for the following month. Example: sign-ups for January 2021 are open through December 2020. February club sign ups will open in January, etc.

Each month’s shipment will be sent out before the end of the month (example: January club will ship by January 31st) However, we will work to ship each month’s subscription as early as possible in the month.

Yarn Options:

Juniper Lace:
80% Superwash Merino/20% Silk
2-ply Lace Weight
875 yd/100g skein
Juniper Lace is a laceweight superwash merino/silk blend. It is delicate and glowy; soft and luxurious. It takes dye well and shows off superbly saturated colors with it’s subtle, glowy sheen. It is strong enough for heavily beaded projects, and drapey enough for the most gorgeous lace work.

Cedar Sock Set:
75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon
4-ply yarn
463 yds/100g skein
 92yd/20g mini skein
Cedar Sock lends itself well to well….socks! It is a sturdy round, smooth construction with 25% nylon for added strength and durability. It tends to take dye a little more subdued than our 100% merino yarns, but is still saturated and beautiful. It is also great for sweaters and has far fewer loose fibers than other yarns, making it ideal for those with sensitive skin.

Hemlock Sock:
100% Superwash Merino
2-ply Fingering Weight
400yds/100g
Hemlock Sock is a gorgeous tightly twisted 2-ply fingering weight superwash merino workhorse yarn that is unbelievably soft and springy. It’s combined strength and softness make it great for everything from socks, to sweaters, to baby items.

Spruce DK:
100% Superwash Merino
4-ply DK Weight
231 yds/100g
Spruce DK is a round, soft, plump 4-ply DK weight superwash merino yarn. This lovely and versatile yarn is perfect for whatever projects you can dream up, but we especially love it for sweaters and hats. It is the perfect weight and shape to make for hours of joyful knitting. When people talk about ‘desert island’ yarns, this is it!
